Would you like to visit us in the borderland?

Together with our partner organisations we invite groups from Germany and all over Europe to the region to show them the competences of the German-Danish borderland and the minorities on site. For a comprehensive understanding it is important to get to know the minorities of the German-Danish border region not only in their institutional structure, but also to talk personally with members of the minorities.

Exchanging experiences

For a comprehensive understanding it is important to get to know the minorities of the German-Danish border region not only in their institutional structure, but also to talk personally with members of the minorities.

Only then is it possible to answer whether and how positive normative regulations can also be implemented in everyday life. Only through encounters and discussions on the ground can we develop an awareness of what constitutes the identity and culture of minorities, how minorities and the majority live together, and what minority life means in everyday life.

Visit us

Are you interested in visiting us in the borderland with a delegation? Then we will be happy to arrange a 3-5-day stay in consultation with you, during which you can talk to Germans and Danes on both sides of the border, as well as North Frisians, Sinti and Roma, and learn more about the situation of minorities and approaches to solving minority issues.

Our offer is aimed both at people from European regions who belong to national or regional minorities, but also at members of the "majority society" who are interested in minority issues (for example from the fields of politics, media, administration, science, culture).

How your program with us could look like

Thematically, a program can be customised according to your interests and wishes - whether you are interested in education, culture, research, media or sports & leisure - we will be happy to put together an individual program for you.
